Lilly has arrived

Lilly decided that she didn't want to miss her shower..... That little stinker arrived early, and her shower is this coming Sunday!
Unfortunately, since Laura had a C-section, I highly doubt that she will be coming to her OWN shower...
It's quite possible that Daddy will have to come and open some presents!

Here's a picture of the little bundle:

June 6 Wheelie Class

Here are the cards that we'll be making for our Saturday class... (June 6)

It covers several different techniques as well as embossing.

The cards are stunning, and they make a great gift too, because we'll be making a gift bag to match.

On this particular card, you will learn the chalkboard technique.

The colors used are Night of Navy, Mellow moss, and Kraft card stock.
This is one class you WON'T want to miss!!
It will be held on Saturday, June 6, in my West Chester, PA home.
Seating is limited, so please be sure to let me know if you will be coming.
I look forward to seeing you there!!

Nature's Sunset

I love this stamp set... I think I say that about ALL of Stampin' Up!'s stamp sets! This card was made using the brayer and a SpectrumPad on Glossy Card Stock.

I punched out a post-it note circle before I started applying the color. Once I got the look that I was after, I removed the post it note, and sponged a little bit of summer sun over it.

Using "Inspired by Nature" I stamped the flowers in Basic Gray, and the grass in Mellow Moss.

The entire card is mounted on Basic black, then again on Whisper white, and finally on Pumpkin Pie with a top fold.

Here's the inside of the card, I stamped the grass again but this time with Versamark, and the butterfly is from "Great Friends." I used some retired ribbon, gosh I wish they would bring that back... it's FANtastic ribbon!

Here's a list of supplies:
Stamp sets: Inspired by Nature, Great Friend, Best Yet
Ink: Basic Gray, Mellow moss, Versamark
Paper: Glossy C.S., Basic black, Whisper White, Pumpkin pie
Accessories: Ribbon

I'll be posting a tutorial on this, also!

TTFN!

A Nice Father's Day Card

Ok... (I hope Leo isn't reading this) Here's the Father's Day card that I made for him. I found this idea on someone's blog... if I come across it, I'll give the proper credit.
I used glossy card stock, and sponged Night of Navy all around the outside edges of the card stock working my way into the middle. I left pretty much white in the center because I wanted that to be the focal point of the card. I used the deer from Nature Silhouettes and stamped him in Stazon black (Make sure you ink him realllllly well). I sponge Night of Navy craft ink on it again, and stamped it on a small piece of our new window sheet and then smooshed it as the reflection in the "water." I used the white gel pen to make the illusion of a water's edge, and some ripples. The tree is from the same set and I inked that in Navy craft ink. The white cardstock is mounted on Basic Black, then mounted again on Whisper white. I also roughed up the edges of the White C.S. The whole thing is then mounted on Always artichoke which was stamped with my Canvas background stamp. I did some hand stitching in the corners using some Linen thread. Wrapped it with some Chocolate chip 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. It surrrre does look like a "manly" card. I suppose that is what I was after..
Ok.. gotta split... it's going to be a busy week of homework, to try to get everything done before Friday... we are going C-A-M-P-I-N-G this weekend!! yeaaaaa! Can't wait!
See ya!

BIG SHOT!!

Everytime I hear the words "BIG SHOT" I think of that Billy Joel song... "So, you had to be a Big Shot, didn't ya!"... la la la.. Ok, I wasn't meant to be a singer.. THAT's for sure!

Anyway, Here's what I made with the new Matchbox die. LOVE IT! This box is SOOOO dang-bern easy to make! I used Basic Gray for the bottom and this new DSP that I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF... (did i scream that?) Walk In The Park!.... again... LOVE IT!

I wrapped it up with some RobinHood Red taffeta ribbon, (I'm gonna HATE to see this color go) and used the sentiment from Great Friend (in the Occasions Mini) and popped it up on dimensionals. (geez, I go through a LOT of them!) Here's a picture of the goodies that I put in it. mmm... Hershey's minitures.

Yah... so anyway.. how cute would THIS be to give some goooood friends? I have several, and it would be easy peasy to whip a bunch of these up. Unfortunately, this will have to wait until next week, as I am buried under TONS of homework!
The GOOD thing is... is that I stamped enough stuff this past weekend to be able to load something up everynight this week...

so.... stay tuned!!

Supplies~
Stamps: Great Friend
Paper: Basic Gray, Walk in the Park
Inks: Robin Hood Red, Basic Gray
Accessories: Big Shot, Matchbox die, Taffeta Ribbon, chocolate candy

What a GREAT stamping weekend!

This past week has been dedicated to NOTHING but school work and homework. (Plus I was sick a few days, AGAIN! ugh!!) But, I finally got to relax in the stamp room and get a bunch of stuff stamped! Now, THAT's what I call a GREAT stamping weekend!

These two cards that I want to show you were the first cards that I whipped up. I have a lot to show you over the next few days... :o)

These cards use the 'Sweet Always' designer series papers and the new stamp set called 'Scene in a Garden' which comes from the Occasions Mini. PLUS... the new jumbo grommets. These grommets are pretty interesting because they have about 6 little "teeth" that you have to push through the paper, and then fold them over to hold them into place. Since I had several layers to go through, I needed to get the holes started using my paper piercer from the tool kit. But, it was fairly easy, and they add some great 'blingggg' to the cards.
Over the next few days, I will be posting the rest of the stuff I stamped, right now, I neeeeeed some sleep!

Supplies~
Stamp set:
Scene in a Garden
Ink: Black Stazon
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Confetti White, Sweet Always DSP, Whisper White
Accessories: Jumbo grommets, watercolor pencils, ribbon, Corduroy button

Have a GREAT night!

May 9 - Watercolor Class - "Insides"

Ok... sooooo... Here's the rest of the project! These cards will fit into the little pizza box from my last post. Four cute 4 x 4 cards, all watercolored using a different technique. The heart card is watercolored using markers and a blender pen. The duck is done using the watercolor crayons and an aquapainter. The cupcake was made using the markers direct on the paper, and blending with blender pens, and the flower pot is using the ink from the inside of the ink pads and a paint brush (probably the most difficult, but has the BEST results!!)

Here's a close up of each card... and inside each one has a cute verse. (I didn't take a picture of those)

Soooooooooooooooooooo...... if your interested in joining the class on Saturday, it starts at 1:00 p.m. in my West Chester home!! This is ONE class you WON'T want to miss!!!! Cost is $8

Happy Stampin'

May 9 - Watercolor Class

For my next class on May 9, we will be making this project. It's a small "pizza box" which will contain four 4 x 4 note cards and envelopes. It's a watercolor techniques class featuring different ways to watercolor. The outside image is watercolored using the watercolor pencils, and a blender pen. I will show a preview of the actual cards sometime this week-- before Saturday. It would make a GREAT Mother's Day gift, or keep it in your desk at work in case you need an "emergency" card for one of your fellow co-workers.
Here's a picture from the side. It's only a half inch high, just big enough for a few cards.
We will be using the new Wagon Full of Fun set from the new Occasions Mini. It's a really great, versitile set! It also features the DSP from Sale-a-bration. You won't want to miss this class!!
