Givin' It a Go.... for Mojo

Well... I thought I'd give the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge a try. I really liked this layout, especially when it's teamed up with those GORGEOUS IN-COLORS!! Did I mention how much I LOVE these colors??

Direction:
- Start off with a beautiful piece of Melon Mambo as the card base.
- Use the Scallop Edge punch to create the scallop edging around the Rich Razzleberry card stock.
- Add a burst of color with that Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper (Holy smokes that stuff is so pretty!)
- Tie it off with some Rich Razzleberry Polk-a-Dot ribbon... I hid the polka dots, figuring that I only wanted the bright colors from the DSP to show through.
- The stamped image is from the "Kind and Caring Thoughts" Level 3 Hostess set... What a GREAT versatile set!! So many great stamps, I love them ALL!
- I added a sentiment from the Oval All stamp set, which was colored with my SU! markers directly on the rubber, and punched it out using the Large Oval punch.
- Adhere the punched out sentiment to a punched out Scallop Oval of Rich Razzleberry, and add some white dots using a gel pen.
- Complete the card with a few flower punches from the BoHo Blossoms punch, and top them off with 1/2 pearl from the Pretties kit.
TIP: Use Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive to secure the pearls

Here's a close up of the sentiment. You can use your markers to color directly on the rubber, give it a little 'huff' to re moisten it, and stamp.

Ok... Stampers.... Give it a try!!
Have a GREAT day!!

Razzle Dazzle Butterfly

Hi Stampers...
Today I wanted to add a few easy elements to my card, so I brushed the dust off of my Scallop Edge Punch and it made me proud again! PLUS.... I just can't get enough of these new IN-colors!

Directions:
- Punched four sides of a 3 x 3 inch piece of Melon Mambo card stock using the Scallop Edge punch, and made what looks like a buckle.
- The 1 1/2" designer series paper Razzleberry Lemonade is weaved in through the "buckle" part of the card stock, glued and centered.
- Four So Saffron brads adorn the last scallops on each corner.
- The Whisper white measures 2 x 2 and each corner is notched out using the Ticket Corner punch, sponged with Melon Mambo and set up on dimensionals.
- The butterfly is stamped using the Rock 'n Roll Technique.
TIP: This is done by stamping the image in a lighter color first, and then... Rolllllllllllling JUST the edges in a darker color. This is stuck on the card using a mini glue dot stretched across her little belly because her wings are folded in the up position.

Here's a close up of the butterfly.

Give it a try... the color graduation turns out really awesome!!

Quick & Easy In-Color Cards

Remember that I mentioned not having any "Thank You" cards??.... well ... now I do!
I made this series of cards to add to my 5-min card collection, and these are as easy as they come...

Using the new Razzle Dazzle set I stamped one of the main images down the left side of the card, and tied the matching ribbons with an oval scallop, and a sentiment. The ovals are made using both small and large oval punch, and the new oval scallop punch.
SUPER-DUPER EASY cards!!

Dangling another "goodie"

Here's another sneek peek of a spankin'-brand new stamp set called: Autumn Days

By the way, I just wanted to mention, that there has been a few changes going on with my blog... I'm trying to get more columns, and soon I am hopeful to be posting some videos. SO... stay tuned for future enhancements....

This new set is a really nice, versatile set that works well with the new In-Colors. (Actually EVERYTHING works well with the new In-Colors!!)
Here, I've used Soft Suede and Dusty Durango in this card, along with the beautiful coordinating 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon.

Directions:
- I stamped the flower sprigs on a piece of DSP (designer series paper) called "Flock Together" using Certainly Celery.
- Mount it on the Dusty Durango and distress the edges. Adhere to card front.
- Add a Jumbo Eyelet using the Crop-a-dile
- Using Watercolor crayons, color directly on rubber, then mist with a fine spray of water and stamp on Very Vanilla card stock.
- Stamp sentiment on card front using Stazon White or Craft White (I was looking for my Chit Chat rub-ons, but I let my daughter "borrow" them, and that's the last I've seen of them!!)
- Tie 1/2" Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon around card.
- Mount pheasant on card front using dimensional.
- Inside of card has wheat shaft inked using Stazon White, and pheasant is 'struttin' his stuff' with Versamark.

5 minute quickie

This was a quickie card that I threw together because..... I needed a quick thank you card. Of ALL the cards I have in my card basket... I couldn't find ONE single Thank You card. I suppose I better start making some to replenish my card basket!!!

Directions for this easy card:

- My cardstock base (Whisper white) took a trip through my Cuddlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. (Just emboss one side)

- I stamped the big medallion from Circle Circus three times, once with Crushed Curry, once with Melon Mambo, and again with Dusty Durango (three of the new In-Colors)

- I punched out the Crushed Curry using the Circle Scallop punch

- Next punch out the Melon Mambo piece using the 1 1/4" circle punch

- Finally, use the 3/4" circle punch on the Dusty Durango color

- Stack them all on top of each other using dimensionals between each layer

- Add a 1 1/2" strip of Melon Mambo across the card

- Adhere the medallion to the left-hand side, and add a sentiment to the right.

EASY PEASY! I think it took longer to get the supplies out than it did to make the card!
:o)

Here's a close up of the medallion-

Here are samples of the 2009-2010 In Colors.
From left to right it is:
Melon Mambo
Soft Suede
Crushed Curry

As promised..... Here's the sneek peek!

Here are two cards using the new "Kind and Caring Thoughts" and "Circle Circus"

On this first one I stamped the background of the base card with this awesome shadow stamp in this set using versamark and randomly stamped it all over. Then on a piece of Basic Gray textured card stock I used my "hole-pokey" tool (that's what I call it, anyway) and the piercing mat and made zig-zag holes from one end to the other. Using a white gel pen, sewed it all together. This is faux stitching, and its easy-peasey! Just punch the holes and connect the dots! I also used my corner rounder and made the scallop across the bottom. The small medallions (from the new Circle Circus stamp set) randomly adorn the Whisper white cardstock using the new In-Color Bermuda Bay. Keeping the Bermuda Bay theme, I used the new polka dot ribbons and tie it hiding the polka dots. (I guess I figured there was PLENTY of action on this card!) The sentiment 'Thinking of You' also comes from the "Kind and Caring Thoughts". What a GREAT versitile set!

Here's the inside of the above card..... weird that the lighting changed the inside color of the card..... (or is it my eyes just playing tricks on me??) They definately look like two different colors on this picture... hmm.
Anyway, the flowers at the bottom are stamped in Versamark.

OK... This fun little number has a LOT of different elements going on here. First I colored directly on the image in with my Watercolor crayons (I STILL love to color!!) and I used Rose Royal, Rose Red, and Alway Artichoke from the Rich Regals collection. (Honest to Pete... its really called Rose Royal--that's what the side of the crayon said). THEN... I misted the rubber with a spritz of really fine spray from a water bottle and stamped it on the WORLD's FINEST watercolor paper. This stuff is FAN-tas-TIC! I mounted that onto a piece of Night of Navy C.S, wrapped a piece of taffeta ribbon around it and popped it up on dimensionals. It's resting on a piece of Bordering Blue C.S. which is also mounted on Night of Navy C.S. ALL of this is on a piece of Barely Banana (folded at the top) and the background is stamped with that cute little leave sprig from "Great Friend". The sentiment For you is also from "Great Friend". Two layers in this card have been punched with the ticket punch, and four Soft Subtle yellow brads adorn each corner. (Ewww... i just squished a bug on my computer screen... how gross!!)

Ok... so... here's a list of Supplies:

I didn't have a lot of time to stamp tonight with finishing up some major homework project, but, I had the itch to do some quickie cards!!

This card was done with So Safron, as far as I know that color isn't going anywhere!... And THAT's good, because here lately, its been one of my new favs.
This card was stamped with Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Chocolate Chip. Did you see those Taylor's Twinkles??

I love those things... I can twinkle on ANYTHING!

I'm thinking about having a "Get Punchie" class... Let me know if you'd be interested in attending this class... it will be short, quickie classes throughout the next few weeks....
