Baroque Elegance

This is a wedding card for someone at work.

I was happy to make it... and it turned out even better than I had invissioned it! :)

I used beautiful retired cardstock called Taste of Textiles, and this white cardstock has gorgeous stripes across the entire paper... simple elegant! I also used the Basic black textured cardstock which was included in this pack of DSP. The entire assortment is so pretty!! Ok.. .back to the card...

~ Embossed the Baroque Motifs image coming down from the corner using a Versamark and black embossing powder
~ Tied off a piece of white organza ribbon in a knot (pun intended) and pushed it through a silver grommet.
~ Stamped the word 'cherish' on a thick window sheet using Black Stazon
~ Punched out the sentiment using the Movers and Shapers die from the Punch Windows set
~ Attached the sentiment on the card front using some silver eyelets

Here's a close up of the sentiment

So... I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out...
What do you think?? :)

Stampin' hugs, until next Time!!

I only have eyes for YOU!

While your here...
Check out my new Patty Monster Video

You can roll a ROLLO to your pal....
It's chocolate covered caramel...

Every time I see these candies.. I have to sing that song!!

I turned these rollos into eyeballs. I had this beaker-type container just laying around the craft room, and decided to make this a candy jar for my desk at work.

They were easy enough to make...

~Use the 3/4 inch circle punch for the whites of the eyeballs.
~ 3/4 inch circle punch for the eyelid and cut those in half.
~ Sponge the eyelids with Always Artichoke
~ Use 1/2 inch circle punch for the blacks of the eyeballs
~ Glue everything together
~ I used the new Night & Day DSP that is coming out in the Holiday Mini, and accented it with a long strip of crimped Real Red cardstock.
TIP: To get the points on the Real Red, use a circle punch sporatically down the paper. Punching different lengths along the way.
~ Drop them into a 'beaker' and listen to the screams!! BAHHhhahaha

Here's the tools I used:

3/4 inch circle punch
1/2 inch circle punch

Until next time....

Aged Charm

This card is from the SCS Wednesday Sketch Challenge. It uses one of the new sets from the Holiday mini. The set has some really GREAT images!!
The overall color scheme is Bermuda Bay... and quickly becoming one of my FAVorite colors!!
~ I stamped the background using a Versamark pad.. and I strategically stamped the image trying to get a "wall-paper" look.
~ The three panels are various sides of the Bermuda Bay DSP... gosh those papers are so gorgeous!!
~ Each panel is backed with Basic black... I think that's what make everything POP!
~ The focus image is sort of a collage of colors and stamps using the newwww Holiday mini stamp set called: Charming I love everything about these stamps!!
~ I added a piece of 1/2 inch Bermuda Bay grosgrain ribbon, polka dots down! I have a feeling if they were showing, that it would have just been toooo much! I kind of like how subtle this card is.
So... remember!! you can ALWAYS shop at my 24/7 store!!

WAIT until you see THIS!!

Ok... so.... my oldest daughter, Laura... says... Mom, can I go "Play" in your craftroom. I said... SURRRRRRE!
And... THIS is what she came up with!!
Holy Hanna... was I SHOCKED!
This angel is from the Holy Triptych set, and she stamped it on velumn and painted it in.
Needless to say... I was FLOOOOORED!
She punched out and layered a few gold metalic colored stars, and used some on my red metalic card stock... (both of these I picked up at the "M" store..) and in the corners, she used some Tiny Twinkles from Taylored Expressions. Finished it off with some gorgeous Organza ribbon. This card is ......Ahhhh.... shear BEAUTY!!!
Now, I MAY have to get her to make MY Christmas cards this year!!! heehee!!
by the way.... Stay tuned in... I'll be posting a new tutorial for a Business Card Holder!

and some bling!

The velumn was folded beFORE it was crimped... I just LOVE that look!
I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment using the Punches Three stamp set (now retired) and popped it up on dimensionals on 2 Square Scallop punches of Basic Black.

And the bling is from: Taylored Expressions

SC240 - True Colors

Hi Stampers!!

This card was made using the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge #240. This is a great sketch and it was PERFECT for hiding a "pretties flower" behind the main image.

I love this new paper called Flock Together and the main color is Tempting Turquoise. I found a piece of Baja Breeze hiding in my paperbox that was just the right finishing touch for this card!

Adding a little gold cording.... (I'm SOO soo so happy that SU! brought that back in!!) YAY!

Mojo #97

Hi there!! I thought I'd work on getting my "Mojo" on this past weekend. My verrrrrry good friend Barb came over and stamped with me and my oldest daughter Laura.. We stamped for HOURS!
Here's my submission for the Mojo #97 Sketch. (Better late than never... right??)

I just love love love that Razzle Dazzle stamp set..
(i MAY have mentioned that before!!)

-Here the main image looks GREAT stamped in Melon Mambo (one of my FAV colors). I used the Colluzal to cut it out. Then just cut another Basic Black circle to accent it.
- I cut a Melon Mambo scallop circle using my Big Shot and the Large Scallop Circle die. Geez.. that thing is awesome!!
- The background paper is that lovely Razzleberry Lemonade and a touch of Basic Gray DSP.
- The ribbon is Kraft taffeta... which is Soooooooooo nice to work with!!
- I added the Photo Corner Punch embellishment and used the Crop-a-dile to attach Jumbo brads to some 1/2 inch circle punches of Melon Mambo.

The card came together exactly how I was invisioning it... and that normally NEVER happens!!
HA! ;o)

Here are Laura's cards:

And here is Barbara's card:

(Notice those Tiny Twinkles??)

Didn't they turn out beautifully?

Until later...

Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #239

I absolutely love this stamp set. It's called Thoughts and Prayers and it worked perfectly for the Sketch challenge #239.

I inked the leaves in Garden Green, and the branches and tree trunk in Choc. Chip using my marker direct to the rubber, and huffed. Hand drew a box around the outside making sure some of the tree branches popped "out of the box", and then cut it out.

Here are the supplies that I used:

~ Stamp sets: Thoughts and Prayers, Teeny Tiny Wishes
~ Inks: Handsome hunter and Chocolate chip
~ Paper: Flock together DSP, Garden Green, Handsome hunter, So Safron, Very Vanilla
~ Accessories: Modern Label punch, Word window punch, Silver brad
