EEeeeeeps!! a Monster.... Card

Careful... This guys BITES!! Smiley from millan.net

Ok... so... here's the scoop on this scarrrry guy!!

Our neighborhood is having a block party today... so I thought I'd make an M&M guessing game ...

Here's the Jar.. and the lid.

I added some googlie eyeballs to the spider.

I think that makes him really CUTE!!
Maybe spiders aren't supppposed to be cute.. hmm....
Smiley from millan.net

Ok... So anyway.. I wanted to make a CUTE way to deliver the "count" of how many M&M's are in the jar.

First, I made the Monster Eyeballs and was GOING to add them to the jar somehow. However, I thought that they would get knocked off with people picking up the jar and turning it over to "count" the M&M's.
SO.. I figured... ok... I'll just put these eyeballs on the outside of a card. Then... one thing lead to another and the next thing you know, I'm adding "teeth" to the edge of my card. I thought that monsters don't have the prettiest teeth, so I made them "jagged." Just re-punch the scallops, but, the second punch, just nick a piece out of the rounded part, sponge on a little Yo-yo Yellow and you have PERFECT monster teeth!! Smiley from millan.net
Shhhhh.... Here's the count:
Oh, by the way... I used the Large Heart Punch for the tongue, and added it to a thick Window Sheet so it sticks out! Plus... he's got a few bugs in his mouth that he hasn't chewed up yet!! Smiley from millan.net
Until later!!

Get yer Mojo ON!

Ahhh... Mojo Smiley from millan.net I LOVE it when a new sketch comes out!!
HOW.......SWEEET!!!!!! Smiley from millan.net

Here's the Sketch:

And, Here's my card:

Details how to make it:
~ Emboss the trio snowflake image from Serene Snowflakes set featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog on Night of Navy Cardstock using Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder along with a Heat Tool (If you click on the photo, you can see the details a little better)
TIP: Use the Powder Pal tray for ease in putting your powder back into the container
~ Stamp tree images from Lovely as a Tree stamp set using Black Stazon onto Glossy Cardstock
~ Generously ink brayer 1/2 with Bordering Blue and the other 1/2 with Regal Rose
TIP: The Glossy Cardstock is BEST for using the brayer for the lovely skyline
~ Roll off the first layer of ink on scrap paper to avoid getting WAY too much ink in the skyline. Then rolling back and forth over the skyline, blend both colors slightly in the middle.
~ Cut Main focal image using Circle Scissor Plus and Basic Black background just a tad larger
~ Distress edges of Basic Black circle using the Cutter kit
~ Punch out 2 snowflakes using our newwww Jumbo Snowflake punch! Punch one from glossy cardstock and one from velumn cardstock. Adhere them together using a Mini Glue dot.
~ Add White Satin ribbon and White taffeta ribbon across the front of the Navy Cardstock
~ and.... nowwww... for the WHITE BRADS:

Notice those cute tiny white brads?... I colored them...

YEP... i did...
Here's how:
Caution... you CAN burn yourself doing this if your not careful!

You can use any type of metal brad... just make sure you use tweezers to do this!!
~ Heat up the brad using the Heating Tool
~ You only need to hold it in the heat for about 15 seconds.

~ Dip in any color embossing powder

~ And remove
~ The heat from the brad will warm up the embossing powder.
~ IF you need to, reheat it, you can always put it back under the heating tool

Pretty gosh darn CUTE!!! huh?

Camping again....

Well... we're off again... This time we're camping at Blue Rocks Campground.

This is one of the cooooolest campgrounds we've ever stayed at.
This river of rock is right NEXT to our campsite. We took the kids out on the rocks, and they are like leap frogs jumping from one rock to the next. I just sat and watched. :)
Ok... I'll post more pictures tomorrow!
Till later!
